Associated with dairy for numerous years. A former Minister Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU. Currently, he is responsible for research and development, laboratory analyses and pro-innovation activities IIPM. He is also a member of the Agricultural Markets Task Force set up by European Commission.

Lukasz Wyrzykowski is a Director Sector Analysis & Dairy Market  Analyst in IFCN AG in Kiel, Germany. In the 7 years, his main fields of expertise are: dairy market development patterns with dairy value chain analysis; milk & feed price and production behaviours; short & long-term price and production forecats; farm structure and analysis, internal and external project development & management, preparation of reports and analysis. He is a dairy market consultant for world leading companies in the dairy supply chains across the world. Team leader of a dairy content & IT teams consisting of 12 dairy researchers and member of the IFCN AG management responsible for strategic decision, company development, R&D and HR.

Secretary General of Eucolait, the European Association of Dairy Trade, since 2014. Next to leading the organisation, his areas of work include agricultural, food and trade policies as well as dairy markets. Jukka is also the treasurer and member of the presidium of CELCAA.

Senior Manager, Agricultural Commodities  at EEX – the European Energy Exchange

Peter Blog is a Senior Manager, Agricultural Commodities at EEX – the European Energy Exchange. Prior to joining the Exchange in January 2018, Peter had held varoius positions in buisness and product development at other exchanges, including Euronext-LIFFE and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. In a career spanning over 30 years, Peter started out on the trading floors of the London Commodity Exchange and has also worked as busineess development director for an AIM London listed financial information company and as a consultant for the World Bank.

Stefan Gerschewski
Counsellor for Food and Agriculture, German Embassy in Warsaw

He has accomplished university studies in law and public administration in Germany and France. He has worked for several years for the Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture in Berlin and for the Food and Agricultural department of the Permanent Representation of Germany to the European Commission in Brussels. During this period he was also engaged in several training missions for consumer safety authorities in Egypt and Tunisia. Since 2015 has been temporarily Counsellor for Food and Agriculture at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kiev, Ukraine. He currently holds the same function at the German Embassy in Warsaw.

Pekka Pesonen
Secretary General of Copa-Cogeca

Pekka Pesonen is the Secretary General of Copa, representing European farmers, and Cogeca, representing European agri-cooperatives, which together count more than 70 national farming organisations from across Europe. Previously, he worked as State Secretary for the Finnish Ministry for Agriculture and Forestry.

Czesław Siekierski
Chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development

Member of the European Parliament since 2004, he sit in Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats). Currently, he serves as a Chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, earlier first vice-chair. He also works in the Committee on Budgetary Control and Delegations for relations with Canada and People's Republic of China. In 1997-2004, Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. In 2001-2003 Secretary of State in Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Republic of Poland. He attained the title of doctor in Agricultural Economics at Warsaw University of Life Science (SGGW). He has served as a Researcher at Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). Mr Siekierski is author of many science publications.

Riitta Brandt
Senior Vice President, Food and Trade Policy at Finnish Dairy Company Valio Ltd.

She has been working for Valio over 30 years. Since 1993 she has been working with EU-affairs, first mainly with milk market management tools and export refunds. Along the changes in EU policies her responsibilities have changed to agricultural, food and trade policies. Riitta Brandt acts as the Executive Director of the Finnish Milk Processors and Dairy Products Wholesalers Association (MML). This Association deals with international and national policy development. She is member of Board at European Dairy Association (EDA) since 2009. She is also member of Board at EUCOLAIT. She chairs the Finnish National Committee of International Dairy Federation and is member of Standing Committee of Dairy policies and economics.

 

Henrike Burchardi
Senior researcher at the Ife Institute of Food Economics

She works as senior researcher at the Ife Institute of Food Economics in Kiel ( Germany). Her main working and research areas include dairy market analyses, cost analyses in the dairy chain and risk management in the dairy sector. She gives lectures at the University of Applied Sciences in Triesdorf.

David Richmond
Fonterra Co-Operative Group, Trade Strategy Manager – EMEA

David is a proud New Zealander and member of the Fonterra family. Fonterra is a New Zealand’s largest organisation and a world leading dairy producer and exporter employing 22,000 people globally and taking dairy nutrition to billions of consumers around the world. During his 7 years working at Fonterra, David has held roles across the areas of milk supply, global operations, and global supply chain. Now based in Amsterdam, David is responsible for trade strategy and stakeholder affairs across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Jakub Olipra
Economist at Credit Agricole Bank Polska

Jakub graduated in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). A PhD student at the Collegium of Economic Analysis at the SGH. An Economist at the Macroeconomic Analyses Department of Credit Agricole Bank Polska since 2015, responsible for food and agricultural sector analyses. In 2016 he was distinguished in a competition for best proposals for reforms of the Polish economy organised by the National Bank of Poland for his work entitled ‘To Tap the Potential of Polish Rural Areas’. Jakub ranked in top places in the competition for best forecasts of agricultural commodities prices organised by the Rzeczpospolita daily in 2017 (he ranked first in the monthly forecasts category and second in the quarterly forecasts category). He has been collaborating with the Polish Chamber of Milk since 2017, preparing comments for the Insider and the Monthly Analysis.

Roel Jongeneel (PhD)
Senior Researcher and policy and market analyst, Wageningen Economic Research

Roel Jongeneel is a senior researcher and policy and market analyst with extensive experience in economic modelling and policy analysis. He is the coordinator of the Dutch public private partnership Market Outlook Agri Food Sector. His key areas of expertise are dairy and agricultural policy analysis.
