Graduated from the Humboldt University of Berlin and the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) in Eastern European Studies.

Since 2002 employee of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (new name since May 2025: Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity). Since August 2024 Counsellor for Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity at the German Embassy in Poland.
