Massimiliano Giansanti was elected President of Copa in 2024.

Since 2017, he has been President of Confagricoltura and from 2020 to 2024, he served as Vice President of Copa.

Prior to this, he was President of Confagricoltura Rome, then Vice President of Confagricoltura Lazio and Vice President of Confagricoltura Nazionale Board of Directors. He has acted as Board Member in many agricultural private and public bodies such as the National Association on water Management, the Rome Chamber of Commerce, and the National Institute for Farming Mechanization.

Mr Giansanti runs farms in Rome, Viterbo and Parma, is a producer of Parmigiano Reggiano, and supplies high-quality milk for the dairy processor Centrale del latte di Roma.
